Description

For proper and safe operation of the reloaded cartridges in your pistol or rifle, before the reloading process, the cases need to be checked to verify if these are of the correct length.
Are the cases too long, then these must be cut (Trimmed) to the proper length.

Using the Lee Case Length Gauge the cases can be checked for correct length and, when needed, herewith then be shortened to the correct length.
For shortening the cases and the proper functioning of the Lee Case Length Gauge it must be used in combination with a cutting tool, the Lee Cutter.

The Lee Case Length Gauge is precision made at exactly the correct length, which the empty case should have before reloading it.

Delivered as a set for the trimming of brass cases of 1 specific caliber.

• 1 Caliber specific Case Length Gauge.
• 1 Caliber specific Shell Holder.

Instructions

The Shell Holder included with the Lee Case Length Gauge needs a base to be connected to. This base functions as a stop for the Case Length Gauge to be able to cut the Case to the correct length.
When needed you need to order the base seperate. For this, you can choose between two products.

• The first base called Lock Stud is supplied with the kit;
Lee Cutter and Lock Stud for cases up to .475 caliber (Lee Product Number 90110).
Lee Large Cutter and Lock Stud for cases larger then .475 caliber (Lee Product Number 90401).
Lee Threaded Large Cutter and Lock Stud for cases larger then .475 caliber (Lee Product Number 90468).
Lee Conditioning Kit for cases up to .475 caliber (Lee Product Number 90950).

The Shell Holder included with the Lee Case Length Gauge is attached to the Lock Stud.
After this the Case is slided into the Shell Holder and lock in place with the Lock Stud.
The Lee Case Length Gauge is attached in the Cutter.
Insert the Lee Case Length Gauge into the Case, with the pin in the Flash Hole, and rotate the Cutter as long until no more material is being removed.

If no material is removed, the Case does not need to be trimmed.

• The second type is a mechanical trimmer called Lee Zip Trim Power Head (Lee Product Number 90899).
With this the Lee Cutter with Ball Grip (Lee Product Number 90275) is needed to be able to trim the Case.

The Shell Holder included with the Lee Case Length Gauge is attached to the axis of the Zip Trim.
After this the Case is slided into the Shell Holder and locked in place with the Lock Stud.
The Lee Case Length Gauge is attached in the Cutter with Ball Grip.
Insert the Lee Case Length Gauge into the Case, with the pin in the Flash Hole, and pull the lever of the Zip Trim making the Case rotate, as long until no more material is being removed.

If no material is removed, the Case does not need to be trimmed.
